Pre-Dental Instructor

POSITION: Pre-Dental Instructor REPORTS TO: Principal, Eastland Career Center APPLICATION DEADLINE: Open until position is filled STARTING DATE: August 1, 2025 QUALIFICATIONS: Successful applicants must have at least five recent years of dental assisting/hygienist experience; Be a licensed dental radiographer in the state of Ohio; Hold a current National or Ohio Dental Assisting Certification (CODA or CDA); Must be a licensed dental hygienist; Be able to secure certification/licensure as a career/technical instructor; Successfully pass BCI/FBI background check. RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach junior and senior labs that prepare students for a career in dental assisting and/or prepare for college; Provide opportunities for prospective students to explore this career path; Coordinate all aspects of the program with an advisory committee, the secondary and adult Dental Assisting programs in the district; Instruction also includes promotion of student involvement in Career Technical Student Organizations; Assist students in work-based learning experiences and future employment opportunities in cooperation with local dental practices; Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school-related activities.
