JOB SUMMARY: Tolles Career & Technical Center is seeking a dedicated and passionate Pre-Nursing Instructor to teach students in our comprehensive Pre-Nursing program. This position is integral in preparing students for careers in healthcare, including nursing and allied health fields. The instructor will provide hands-on instruction in clinical settings and foster a supportive learning environment where students gain both theoretical knowledge and practical skills to pursue a successful career in nursing.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum for pre-nursing courses, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.
Deliver engaging, interactive instruction using a variety of teaching methods that accommodate different learning styles.
Provide hands-on clinical training and demonstrations in basic nursing techniques, medical terminology, anatomy, and patient care protocols.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment to motivate students and help them succeed.
Assess student progress and performance, providing feedback and guidance to support their academic and professional growth.
Collaborate with colleagues and healthcare professionals to stay updated on trends and developments in the nursing field.
Participate in departmental meetings, professional development activities, and school-related events as required.
Supervise students during clinical rotations and internships, ensuring a high standard of patient care and professional conduct.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of RN, BSN, or higher (preferred) with at least five years of clinical experience in direct patient care.
Must hold or be able to obtain by August 1, 2025, a valid Ohio teaching certificate/license to teach Nurse Assisting (Course Code 070303).
Previous teaching or clinical training experience is highly desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage, inspire, and motivate students.
Commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students.
Must have or be able to obtain Train the Trainer credential to teach a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) program.
If the candidate does not currently hold a Train the Trainer credential, they must complete all necessary coursework by August 1, 2025.
Candidates must have 2 years of long-term care nursing experience.

Competitive salary commensurate with experience. (Salary range: $47,581.00 - $83,014.00)
189 day contract for first year new teachers; 185 days in subsequent contracts.
