We are located in Hazleton, PA is a transportation company that provides safe, reliable, transportation to senior citizens, persons with disabilities, individuals with special needs and other assigned passengers.
We are now hiring for full-time Safety Manager

Job Description: Oversees location safety and training activities, including scheduling, organizing and conducting initial and ongoing employee training and coaching, appropriately documenting employee safety performance, performing wheelchair securement certifications and ride alongs and responding to incidents and accidents.
Critical Duties and Responsibilities
- Conducts new hire orientation and initial driver training, including both classroom and on-road instruction.
- Provides appropriate road training and observation, as required, to ensure drivers’ adherence to policy and training procedures.
- Assesses drivers on the basis of customer service, passenger assistance, proper wheelchair/mobility aid securement, vehicle inspection, condition of vehicle and radio and fueling procedures, documenting all observations and forwarding them to Director of Safety and Training for review.
- Performs ride alongs to observe drivers’ compliance with traffic regulations, route conformity, loading/unloading procedures and other key performance areas.
- Provides ongoing driver training, retraining and coaching, as needed.
- Responds to accidents and incidents, including reporting, investigating and documenting them, as appropriate.
Job Specifications, Standards and Requirements
- Knowledge of principles and methods used for teaching and instructing individuals and groups and measuring the effectiveness of training.
- Department of Transportation (DOT) medical card issued by a company-authorized healthcare provider.
- Ability to identify individual differences in ability, personality, interests, learning and motivation and conduct training accordingly.
- Effective coaching and mentoring abilities necessary to identify others’ developmental needs and best help others to improve their knowledge and skills.
- Ability to translate and explain what information means and how it can be used to others.
- Excellent customer and personal service skills, able to clearly and effectively communicate with others and deliver the highest level of service.
- Cooperative, energetic and enthusiastic attitude.
- Dependable, stress-tolerant and adaptable nature.
- Experience in a fast-paced, multifunctional environment preferred.
- Bilingual a plus

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
