Qualifications :
- CT certification as a Music Teacher (049) in K-12 Music
- Understanding of content and performance standards in General Music at the middle school level
- Administers music education curriculum consistent with school district goals and objectives.
- Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to student learning
- Preferred experience working with middle school students
- Strong classroom management skills
- Experience with chorus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain effective relationships with students, parents, and teaching colleagues
- Must be flexible, creative, demonstrate strong organizational skills
- Must be highly motivated and self-directed
