Job Summary:
Reporting to the CFO, the Controller is responsible for the day-to-day financial operations of the companies. This includes timely and accurate reporting of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Oversee all accounting operations which includes accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll.
- Ensure financial information, analysis, and reporting is accurate, timely, reliable, and relevant, in order to assist operating management.
- Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.
- Oversees the production of monthly financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Works with external auditors and provides information for the annual review or audit.
- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

- Proficient in accounting and tax preparation software – NetSuite experience a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Financial reporting and preparation of financial statements
- Cash Management
- M&A experience a plus
- Construction industry experience a plus
- Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration required.
- Seven or more years of related experience required.
- Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
