Controller
Mueller Corporation, a growing industrial coatings applicator focusing on Defense, Aerospace, Medical and Technologies industries. We are seeking a Controller to join our team.
Responsibilities include:
. Management of all Finance functions, including, reporting, budgeting, banking, tax, A/P, A/R, and audit.
· Drive process improvements and efficiencies, and overall communication and information sharing throughout the business.
· Implement and enhance financial controls, policies, and procedures.
· Increase accounting and financial knowledge throughout the organization.
· Lead budgeting and forecasting process, including monthly monitoring of results.
· Ensure all Balance Sheet accounts have proper and supported reconciliations.
· Execute day-to-day accounting and financial reporting functions, in accordance with GAAP and other applicable regulations.
· Manage the closing process to ensure accurate and timely financial reports.
· Subject matter expert for all finance operational and technical accounting matters.
· Direct and mentor office personnel.
· Oversee the outsourced Information Technology and maintain IT compliance and security.
· Provide strategic leadership and operational strategy relating to business planning, IT, and compliance.
· Establish and improve finance and accounting policies and procedures in accordance with company needs.
· Communicate company performance clearly and effectively to corporate, division leadership, and division staff.
· Working capital management which includes strategic and tactical goal achievement.
· Calculate and review standard work center overhead rates.
· Manage internal and external audits.
· Oversee and provide subject matter expertise for ERP system.
· Prepare and critically review significant contracts, leases, and other supplier agreements and customer proposals.
· Drive constant improvement and cost efficiency throughout the business.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
· Minimum of 5 years’ experience
· Strong analytical skills
· Proficient in accounting software (Currently QuickBooks)
· Proficient in Excel
· Excellent communication skills
· Able to collaborate with other departments to develop efficiency.
