What are the responsibilities and job description for the Relief Account Manager-Sales position at Eastown Distributors Company?
Eastown Distributors is a beer distributor that services all of Detroit and some of Downriver areas with our office being located in Highland Park. We have a wide variety of brands and styles of beer from suppliers such as Molson Coors, Heineken USA, Constellation Brands, etc. We are looking for people that want to learn more about the wholesale and beer industry and help us be our vendors best consultants.
This position requires that you drive your vehicle to and from different accounts. The Relief Account Manager portion requires you to drive to and from 50-60 different accounts in our territory per week. Account Managers are responsible for taking inventory and writing orders based on sales history and insight from our vendors. Account Managers are expected to build relationships, introduce new products, build / restock displays, rotate products and organize back stock areas.
Applicants should be able to work extra days around major holidays. They should also be deadline oriented, have good communication and problem-solving skills.
Job Details:
- Driving to and from accounts.
- Taking inventory.
- Writing orders and submitting them in a timely manner.
- Build and/or restock displays.
- Maintain a good relationship with our customers.
- Build displays with our products and point of sale to attract customer sales.
- Rotate product to ensure the freshness of our products.
- Maintain/Organize our extra product in the designated back stock area at each account.
Requirements:
- Must have an understanding of retail sales process.
- Must be capable of lifting 20-50lbs and up to 1000 cases per day.
- Must have at least 1-year sales experience. (Wholesale or Beer Sales Experience Preferred)
- Must get approved by Michigan Liquor Control Commission for a salesperson license (Background check)
- Cicerone Certified Beer Server (Not Required but Preferred)
Vehicle / Insurance Requirements:
- Valid Driver’s license
- Insured vehicle and name must be listed on the insurance.
- Bodily injury Liability coverage is at $250,000- $500,000 or higher for vehicle.
- Good driving record
- Reliable vehicle
