We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Corporate Real Estate Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience supporting attorneys in commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing, and title/survey reviews. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in drafting, reviewing, and managing real estate contracts, leases, and closing documents.
- Conduct due diligence, including title and survey reviews, and coordinate resolutions for title and survey issues.
- Order, review, and summarize title commitments, exception documents, and surveys.
- Manage real estate closings, including preparing closing checklists and coordinating escrow requirements.
- Draft closing documents such as deeds, affidavits, and other related agreements.
- Conduct legal research on real estate laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate with title companies, lenders, and clients to ensure smooth transaction processing.
- Maintain organized records of all transaction documents and filings.
- Support corporate entity formation, organization, and maintenance for real estate transactions.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a real estate paralegal in a law firm or corporate legal department.
- Strong understanding of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing.
- Experience reviewing and analyzing title commitments, surveys, and zoning reports.
- Proficiency in drafting legal documents, including purchase agreements, lease agreements, and closing documents.
- Familiarity with corporate entity formation and maintenance.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
- Paralegal certification or degree preferred.
