We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Credit and Collections Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will oversee the full cycle of accounts receivable, including credit analysis and collection activities, while ensuring timely and accurate processing of high-volume invoices. Your expertise in managing customer accounts, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining excellent communication with stakeholders will be critical to our success.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the full credit and collections cycle, including customer credit evaluations, account setup, invoicing, and collections.
- Process and reconcile a high volume of invoices with accuracy and efficiency.
- Monitor and manage customer accounts to ensure timely payments, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
- Work closely with internal teams, including sales and customer service, to address account issues and payment delays.
- Conduct credit risk assessments for new and existing customers to establish appropriate credit limits.
- Prepare and analyze aging reports and collections metrics to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain detailed records of collection activities and communications.
- Collaborate on process improvement initiatives to optimize the credit and collections workflow.
- Use accounting software such as NetSuite or QuickBooks to manage records and generate reports.
- Adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements related to credit and collections.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in credit and collections, with a strong understanding of the full-cycle process.
- Ability to manage high-volume invoicing in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data analysis.
- Familiarity with accounting software like NetSuite or QuickBooks (preferred).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive relationships with clients and internal teams.
- Self-motivated and able to prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
