We are currently hiring a Manufacturing Engineer for a high-end manufacturer of customizable kitchen and bathroom faucets, shower systems, and bath accessories.
About the Role
As a Manufacturing Engineer I, you will be a key member of the Operations Team, driving initiatives that enhance quality, safety, efficiency, and productivity in the manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for a self-motivated problem-solver who thrives in a hands-on, collaborative setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development and implementation of productivity improvements across the facility.
- Assist in designing and optimizing machining, processing, assembly, and material handling layouts to enhance safety, efficiency, and product quality.
- Conduct data analysis on part usage, labor hours, and other factors to improve manufacturing processes.
- Design and implement fixtures, jigs, and custom tools to enhance safety and productivity.
- Analyze and evaluate manufacturing processes for safety, efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
- Utilize engineering techniques (statistical analysis, time studies, design of experiments, etc.) to identify constraints and implement process improvements.
- Work closely with production leads, operators, and supervisors to resolve safety, space utilization, and material handling challenges.
- Assist in establishing standards and documentation for assembly and process operations.
- Perform additional assignments as directed by management.
Required Skills & Attributes:
- Strong ability to communicate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and organizational abilities.
- Knowledge of DOE (Design of Experiments) and other analytical engineering tools.
- Strong project management and adaptability skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical problems independently and implement solutions.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel.
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical engineering in a fast-paced environment (preferred).
- Basic skills in engineering-related software (preferred).
- Intermediate 3D CAD modeling skills – SolidWorks and AutoCAD (preferred).
- Exposure to Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing principles (preferred).
Work Environment & Supervision:
- Factory/office hybrid environment.
- Works independently with minimal supervision, following established procedures for routine tasks.
- Collaborates with various departments and levels of the company.
