Job Summary
The Quality Inspector will perform inspections at various stages of assembly and manufacturing, including first article, in-process, and final inspections, to ensure products meet engineering specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed inspections of complex electro-mechanical assemblies using visual and mechanical methods.
- Document inspection results, including any deviations from engineering specifications.
- Ensure compliance with First Article Inspection (FAI) processes.
- Identify and properly document non-conforming materials.
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in the electro-mechanical industry.
- Proficiency in reading assembly blueprints, bills of materials, and related documentation.
- Skilled in using inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, multi-meters, scales, feeler gauges, and pin gauges.
- Strong understanding of the First Article Inspection process.
- Familiarity with IPC-A-620 workmanship standards.
- Knowledge of inspection reporting procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain quality under tight deadlines.
- Effective communication and writing skills.
Working Environment
- 90% of work performed in a precision light industrial production area.
- Remaining time spent in office and warehouse settings.
