We are looking for a Setup Technician for a manufacturing company specializing in plastic molding and packaging solutions. This on-site position is based in New Berlin, WI, and offers a 4-day workweek with 10-hour shifts on 1st shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform machine changeovers, startups, and troubleshooting for blow molding equipment and support systems.
- Repair and maintain blow molding machines and associated support equipment.
- Analyze setup processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Assist in preventive maintenance and collaborate with the maintenance team for necessary repairs.
- Follow all safety procedures while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Communicate openly and effectively with teammates and leadership.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, food safety, and food quality regulations.
- Support other teams with open tasks and projects as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum two (2) years of maintenance or machine setup experience (plastics or injection molding preferred).
- Advanced technical certification or formal education is a plus.
Technical Skills & Competencies
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with business computer applications and mobile device apps.
- Must provide own tools and toolbox.
