Summary

The Supply Chain Engineer supports the factory team and is responsible for identifying, developing, and optimizing processes & procedures within the Supply Chain, intralogistics, and warehouse areas. Defines, develops, and optimizes standards & processes to support uninterrupted, productive manufacturing. Responsibilities span all functions related to receiving, shipping, material handling & movements, inventory control, and customer service processes.

Location: New Bern, NC | Employment Type: Full-Time | Travel: 10%

Your Responsibilities
  • Optimize Material Flow Define and enhance intralogistics processes, from incoming materials to outbound finished goods.
  • Standardize Best Practices Document and implement industry-leading logistics and production standards.
  • Support Operations Assist production and warehouse teams with layout design, material handling, and safety improvements.
  • Leverage SAP & Automation Manage scanning, barcoding, and wireless technologies, ensuring seamless integration with SAP systems.
  • Enhance Efficiency Develop material handling solutions, conduct process simulations, and improve packaging standards for optimized workflow.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement Implement Lean, Kanban, and Value Stream Mapping methodologies to streamline operations.
  • Lead Strategic Projects Oversee new product introductions, equipment selection, and installation, while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Budget & Compliance Support budget preparation and ensure compliance with OSHA, ISO, and training requirements.
Your Profile

Education:

  • Required: Bachelor s Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, or related field).
  • Preferred: Master s Degree in Engineering.

Certifications: (Preferred but not required)

  • Required: AutoCAD, Value Stream Mapping, PFEP, Lean Line Design, Kanban, Supermarket Calculation, Flow Simulations.
  • Preferred: MTM Logistics, Project Management, Red-X (Shainin), 8D, PDCA, Six Sigma.

Experience:

  • Required:3-5 years of experience in technical supply chain/logistics (for less experienced candidates).
  • 5-7 years of experience in technical supply chain/logistics (for highly qualified candidates).
  • 3-5 years in manufacturing or warehouse operations.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong problem-solving and process improvement mindset.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and drive strategic logistics initiatives.
  • Expertise in SAP, automation, and material handling systems.
