EastRise Credit Union is hiring for a Deposit Operations Assistant Manager! This position oversees day-to-day deposit operations. Supervises department staff to ensure daily processing objectives are met in an efficient, accurate and timely manner while providing exceptional service to internal and external customers. Focus areas include building and maintaining effective programs for: IRA operations, ACH, remote deposit capture, account integrity, check processing, wire transfers as well as other services.
Hours and Location: Alternating monthly, Monday - Friday, 9:30 am - 6:15 pm one month, 6:30 am - 3:30 pm the next month. This position requires four days in office in South Burlington.

Coaches and supports Deposit Operations staff to ensure team members including mentoring, training, scheduling, change management, opportunities for growth, and communications. Appraises performance and provides recommendations for compensation, promotion, and termination for direct reports, as appropriate.

- Coaches and supports Deposit Operations staff to ensure team members including mentoring, training, scheduling, change management, opportunities for growth, and communications. Appraises performance and provides recommendations for compensation, promotion, and termination for direct reports, as appropriate.
- Ensures daily processing objectives are met to include balancing, timely completion, compliance with rules and regulations, troubleshooting issues. Continuously explores ways to make processes more efficient and effective as well as adding value for members, implementing changes as appropriate. Maintains procedures and documentation to provide standardization and ensure all are effective in the areas of risk, compliance, efficiency and product integrity.
- Performs sensitive, high-risk daily responsibilities and activity monitoring. This includes but is not limited to outgoing wire review and release; overdraft review; and employee activity monitoring.
- Displays initiative and motivation in assuming tasks. This includes involvement in intradepartmental initiatives as well as broader credit union formal and informal projects, such as report requests, new process creation, system releases, product and service testing, as well as other work as appropriate. Progress and issues are communicated effectively.
- Makes risk-based decisions understanding and interpreting required regulations and rules surrounding all deposit processes, to include but not be limited to NACHA rules, Green Book requirements, applicable Regulations, and UCC
- Partners with Enterprise Risk and Internal Audit teams to organize audit documentation and engage with auditors, as necessary. Assisting with creation and updating risk assessments as needed.
- Troubleshoots issues to completion and correction with operational processes, professionally engaging with other credit union teams as well as vendors.
- Tracks engagement and mentors team pertaining to internal and direct member engagement. Directly engages with escalated internal and member interactions, finding mutually beneficial resolution whenever possible.
Skills and Experience:
- Five years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.
- A high school degree or equivalent
