The Surgical Assistant will work closely with the dental team to provide high-quality patient care while maintaining a sterile and organized environment.
Duties
- Assist the dentist during surgical procedures by providing four-handed dentistry support.
- Prepare and maintain the surgical area, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use.
- Utilize 3D scanning technology to assist in diagnostic and treatment planning.
- Manage medical records and documentation accurately to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Communicate effectively with patients, providing them with information regarding procedures and post-operative care.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the surgical suite, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure optimal patient flow and satisfaction.
- Stay updated on medical terminology and advancements in dental technology.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred, with a focus on surgical assistance.
- Familiarity with four-handed dentistry techniques is essential.
- Knowledge of periodontics
