What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Concierge position at EastView at Middlebury?
The Concierge is the face of Eastview at Middlebury to everyone who walks through our doors or calls on the phone and reflects the values and image of Eastview to residents and guests of our community. The Concierge is responsible for all front desk functions including processing calls, receiving guests and visitors, providing assistance and information relevant to the community, overseeing reservations for programs and dining, and general office assistance and mail duties.
We are looking to add a member to our Concierge team to fill 3 or 4 6-hour shifts per week as we extend the hours the desk is open.
We are looking for an approachable problem solver who seeks collaboration and is able to listen and take instruction. The Concierge must possess the ability to:
Interact in a calm, courteous manner with residents, other departments and outside vendors.
Understand and perform administrative tasks using basic office equipment and software including the Microsoft Office suite and Outlook, and other presentation, and data management software.
A high school diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of 2 years experience working in an environment with a high degree of public interaction receiving guests and visitors and managing a multi-line phone system is preferred. Work is usually performed in a standard office environment with some travel between buildings on-campus. Occasional overtime and travel off-campus to events and trainings may be required. This position require long periods of sitting and the ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds.
