What are the responsibilities and job description for the Residential Specialist (Adult) position at Eastway Behavioral Healthcare?
Eastway Behavioral Healthcare is the largest, private, not-for-profit provider of mental health, substance abuse, housing, residential, employment and educational services in the Miami Valley. We offer housing options for adult clients needing fully staffed, 24-hour a day, safe housing and supportive services and are currently in need of a Residential Specialist. The goal of these facilities is to increase mental health stability while decreasing homelessness and hospitalization due to lack of resources. This is an entry level position as a Qualified Mental Health Specialist.
This position would work a flexible schedule and we would want the ideal candidate to be available for a variety of shifts including: 7a-3p, 3p-11p and 11p-7a.
Job Skills/Requirements:
Responsible for the day-to-day operations of assigned unit during scheduled shift, this includes cooking.
Knowledge of licensing regulations as applied to the functioning of the unit and is able to apply that knowledge to successfully pass audits and other licensing inspections.
Knowledge of all Agency/Unit guidelines, rules, and regulations and follows them appropriately. Ensures that the unit/milieu guidelines and rules are adhered to at all times.
Works with persons served, staff, agencies, or families on his/her shift to address any issues that may arise.
Provide clients with medically necessary therapeutic interventions that are billable services which are documented and submitted in Carelogic.
Requirements: H.S. Diploma/GED or higher education (proof of education required) and valid driver license with car insurance.
