Grounds Crew

Job Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Grounds Crew Worker to maintain the exterior of our apartment community. This role involves performing a variety of landscaping, cleaning, and general maintenance tasks to ensure the grounds remain safe, clean, and visually appealing for residents and visitors. The ideal candidate will take pride in their work, have a strong work ethic, and be committed to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and appearance in all outdoor areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mow, edge, and trim lawns to maintain neat and well-groomed outdoor spaces.
• Plant, prune, and maintain trees, shrubs, flowers, and other landscaping elements.
• Water plants, flower beds, and lawns as needed, ensuring they receive appropriate care.
• Apply fertilizers, mulch, and soil amendments to maintain healthy plants and lawns.

General Grounds Maintenance:

• Collect and dispose of trash, litter, and debris throughout the grounds, including parking lots, walkways, and other common areas.
• Ensure that trash bins are emptied regularly and are kept clean.
• Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of common areas, including sidewalks, parking lots, and entrances.
• Maintain Fall leaf management and clean-up
• Clean siding/concrete etc. by means of broom, brush or power washer

Snow and Ice Removal (Seasonal):

• During winter months, remove snow and ice from walkways, driveways, and parking areas.
• Apply ice melt to prevent slipping hazards and ensure safe access for residents.

Equipment Care:

• Operate and maintain lawn care equipment, such as mowers, trimmers, leaf blowers, and snow removal tools.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipment.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or general maintenance is preferred but not required.

Skills:

• Ability to operate landscaping and maintenance equipment safely and efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean and well-kept environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift heavy objects and perform physical labor for extended periods.
• Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license (if needed for transportation or equipment use).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
