What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grounds Crew Member position at Easy Tree Service?
We are looking for a hardworking and motivated Grounds Crew Member to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, values teamwork, and is eager to develop skills in the tree care industry. As a key part of the crew, you will assist in tree pruning, removal, and jobsite maintenance while ensuring safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Support climbers and crew leaders in all aspects of tree care.
- Assist with pruning, thinning, and removing hazardous trees.
- Operate and maintain equipment such as chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.
- Safely handle ropes, rigging systems, and other tools to assist in tree removals.
- Keep job sites clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Follow all safety procedures and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers.
Qualifications
- Experience in tree care or landscaping is preferred but not required—training provided.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic equipment maintenance.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Comfortable with physical labor, including lifting 60 lbs.
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Climbing skills (preferred) or willingness to learn.
