Job Description
The Project Manager, Development Operations is responsible for initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing the work of teams involved in the development of a new store from beginning through completion. The Project Manager, Development Operations is responsible to handle and organize a large volume of streams, interfacing with all levels of management at Eataly North America, in order to support the achievement of all the project goals within the constraints of scope, time, quality and budget.
Reports to the Director, Development Operations.
Collaborates closely with the Director, Development Operations to develop, implement and monitor standard operating procedures for the development of new storesReviews financial information and monitors budget to accurate forecastingResponsible for scheduling, planning and coordinating with vendors, external consultant and internal teams to meet timeline and archive projects goals as definedOptimizes the allocation of necessary inputs and apply them to meet pre-defined objectivesPartners with Operations, Construction and Design, Finance and HR teams at a Stores and Corporates level in development of different streamsCoordinates project’s program requirements with different departmentsMaintains constant dialogue with vendors, external consultant and internal teamsManages and effectively prioritizes own work and the work / schedule of vendors, external consultant and internal teamsProvides on-site support and guidance when neededAnalyzes competitor concepts and makes informed recommendations with regards to concept developmentPerforms market researches and analysis on different concepts (retail, restaurants, QSR) to be presented to Store and Corporate Leadership teamSupports in setting departmental goals and encourage interdepartmental collaboration partnering with Director, Store Operations and Store Leadership teamWorks in operations capacity in new stores as needed, at the direction of the Director of DevelopmentPerforms other duties as assignedThe annual compensation for this role is $85,000- $100,000
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree preferred4 years of experience in a high-volume, fast-paced hospitality settingOutstanding analytical and problem-solving skillsAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft OfficePrevious experience managing large project budgetsExceptional project management and time-management skillsExcellent communication, motivation and problem-solving skillsAdvanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skillsExperience with Italian cuisine and wine highly preferredJOB REQUIREMENTS
Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings, weekends and holidaysAbility to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squattingAvailability to travel up to 40% of the timeAdditional Information
