Job Description
The Sr. Analyst, Worker’s Compensation and Retirement plays a critical role on the Benefits Team. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance, analyzing trends, and developing strategies to enhance employee support and company cost-efficiency. The Sr. Analyst will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, insurance providers, and third-party administrators to drive best practices and continuous improvement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee and manage the administration of worker’s compensation and guest incident claims for all of Eataly North America, ensuring timely reporting, investigation, and resolution in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators (TPAs) on worker’s compensation and guest incident matters.
- Conduct trend analysis and reporting on workers’ compensation claims, identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to worker’s compensation.
- Manage the administration of Eataly’s retirement plans (401(k), NQDC, and other applicable plans), including compliance, reporting, and employee education.
- Collaborate with the Retirement Committee and external vendors to monitor retirement plan performance and optimize offerings.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to retirement plans, including:
- Preparing and filing Form 5500 and other required IRS/DOL filings.
- Coordinating 401(k) plan audits with external auditors.
- Conducting nondiscrimination testing and compliance checks.
- Maintaining fiduciary responsibility and documentation for retirement plans.
- Support employees with retirement plan inquiries, escalations, and enrollment/exit processes.
- Conduct periodic audits and assessments of workers’ compensation and retirement programs to ensure alignment with best practices and organizational goals.
- Stay up to date on legislative changes affecting workers’ compensation and retirement benefits and provide strategic recommendations to leadership.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience managing worker’s compensation claims and retirement plan administration.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state workers’ compensation laws and retirement plan regulations (e.g., ERISA, ACA, and state-specific requirements).
- Experience working with third-party administrators, insurance providers, and external vendors.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven recommendations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and support employees at all levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
Additional Information
Compensation: The yearly compensation for this role is $75,000 - $85,000
