Eataly is seeking a highly skilled and motivated E-commerce Manager to join our dynamic digital sales team. This role is critical in managing our Eataly.com, and contributing to Eataly.ca businesses. This role will have responsibility across business management, Ecommerce catalog and gifting assortment sales, web maintenance and optimization, on-site merchandising and customer experience. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in ecommerce platforms and a proven track record in managing E-commerce optimization, promotional activities, and profitability. This role will collaborate with the E-commerce Coordinator, Omnichannel Marketing Manager, and Operations & Logistics Manager, Customer Service, and reports to the Director of Digital Sales – North America.

This role will have responsibility across business management, Ecommerce catalog and gifting assortment sales, web maintenance and optimization, on-site merchandising and customer experience. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in ecommerce platforms and a proven track record in managing E-commerce optimization, promotional activities, and profitability. This role will collaborate with the E-commerce Coordinator, Omnichannel Marketing Manager, and Operations & Logistics Manager, Customer Service, and reports to the Director of Digital Sales – North America.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Catalog Management: Oversee the management and enhancement of our online product catalog, ensuring accurate product listings and up-to-date information.
- On-Site Merchandising: Strategize and implement effective merchandising techniques (with support to maximize sales and enhance customer experience.
- Promotional and Discounting Activities: Plan and manage promotional campaigns and discount strategies to drive sales and clear inventory.
- Data Management & Analysis: Oversee the management of data, including master data and collaboration with internal teams to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Performance Analysis: Regularly analyze performance metrics to assess business and site performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Assortment and Gift Planning: Develop strategic plans for product assortments and gift offerings, catering to varying customer needs and market trends.
- Profitability Management: Continuously assess and manage the profitability of product lines, making strategic adjustments to pricing and promotions as needed.
- Last Mile Liaison: Act as a liaison with last-mile delivery partners to ensure seamless delivery services and customer satisfaction.
- Web Development Management: Collaborate with the agency of record to manage development projects, review Noibu for site friction, and launch initiatives to improve site performance and UX/UI.
- Content Calendar Management: Own and maintain the ecommerce content calendar, coordinating with the creative team to execute sales-driving updates across the sites.
- Customer Service Optimization: Enhance the customer service site experience by implementing tools and updates that improve accessibility and satisfaction.
- Voice of Customer (VOC) Identification: Gather and analyze customer feedback to identify trends and use insights to inform site improvements and business strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
- 3 years of experience in e-commerce merchandising or related field, preferably in a management role.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms (currently using Magento platform
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Effective communication and project management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and with various stakeholders.
