The Education and Events Lead is a food enthusiast who passionately engages guests in Eataly’s mission through events and educational programming. Reports to the Education & Events Manager.
- Executes public and private in-person events including: specialized cooking/wine/food knowledge classes, group reservations, press events, tastings and private receptions
- Supervises staff members during events to ensure smooth execution
- Writes and monitors class descriptions; compiles instructor biographies, Banquet Event Orders (BEO’s) and sales contracts; creates class registration pages online
- Communicates with guests regarding class and event registration
- Fosters accountability in departments and interdepartmental collaboration when planning events
- Builds and manages client lists and relationships
- Updates event needs including recipe cards, creating posters, department inventory, etc.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3 years of experience in restaurant operations, sales management, marketing or event planning
- Excellent organizational, project management and time management skills
- Outstanding professional communication and editorial skills
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of Italian wine and gastronomy
- Proficiency in Italian language preferred
- Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings, weekends and holidays
