Graphic Designer

Job Overview:

A Graphic Designer creates visual content to communicate messages, ideas and concepts. They develop graphics for product illustrations, logos, websites, social media, marketing materials and other forms of visual communication.

Key Responsibilities:

 Create designs, concepts, and sample layouts based on knowledge of layout principles

and aesthetic design

 Develop graphics and visual images for product illustrations, logos, and websites

 Work with team members to determine project scope, objectives, and requirements

 Design visual elements that align with brand guidelines and client specifications

 Prepare rough drafts and present design concepts

 Incorporate changes recommended by clients into final designs

 Review final layouts and suggest improvements when necessary

 Maintain archive of images, photos, and previous work products

 Stay up-to-date with industry software and trends

Required Skills:

 Proficiency in design software (Adobe Creative Suite - particularly Illustrator, Photoshop,

and InDesign)

 Strong understanding of color theory, typography, and layout principles

 Excellent visual presentation and communication skills

 Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with teams

 Strong time management and organizational skills

 Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

 Basic understanding of HTML/CSS (for web design work)

Required Education/Experience:

 Portfolio demonstrating design capabilities

 2-4 years of professional design experience

Technical Skills:

 Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

 UI/UX design principles

 Digital and print design

 Photo editing

 Vector illustration

 Layout design

Work Environment:

 Primarily office-based

 May require occasional travel to client meetings

 Sometimes requires working to tight deadlines

 Full-time position with occasional evening/weekend work as needed

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
