Eaton’s Crouse-Hinds, B-Line and Oil & Gas Business has an opening for a Distribution Manager (shipping & receiving). This position will be based at the Sherman, TX facility.
Position Overview:
As a key member of the Sherman Supply Chain Team, the Distribution Manager will be responsible for working with internal and external stakeholders to optimize distributions activities to key operational metrics around On Time Delivery, Daily Gross Sales, Logistics Costs, Employee performance and engagement.

In this role, you will:
- Manage and develop team, implement and maintain metrics. Build organizational capability though development plans, mentoring, driving accountability, cross-training & succession planning.
- Manage and develop Shipping/Receiving functions.
- Implement methods, practices and techniques to ensure the most economical movement of materials through the supply chain to achieve cost-effective logistics practices and inventory levels while meeting customer delivery requirements.
- Implement methods to support of cross functional goal attainment, supports a continuous improvement culture and provides support for all plant High 5 metrics.
- Develop and implement long term plans to optimize warehousing and logistic solutions by coordinating efforts within the Eaton supply chain organization and other key functional stakeholders such as service, operations / supply chain, customer service and finance.
- Collaborate with Corporate and Regional Logistics teams to develop and deploy logistics projects and initiatives.
- Manage carrier performance
- Drive compliance to Eaton financial guidelines
- Oversee freight payment and freight claims processes
- Govern logistics regulatory and hazardous materials requirements
- Work with Supply Chain Managers to reduce premium freight as a % of sales
- Deploy Eaton Materials Management and Logistics functional competencies and principles to help the division address key operating factors and achieve higher levels of performance.
- Will be directly responsible for at least one salary direct reports and indirectly over a department of 30 employees across 3 shifts

Qualifications
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Experience with ERP or MRP system required.
- Minimum five (5) years of manufacturing experience
- Minimum three (3) years of managerial experience.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in Supply Chain Management, with experience shipping high volume SKU’s to internal and external customers
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications:
- SAP experience
- Logistics analysis and management experience
- Ability to lead cross-functional process improvement teams
- Electrical industry experience
