What you’ll do:
Eaton’s Corporate Sector is currently seeking a Lead Financial Analyst- Direct Materials to join our team. This position will work out of our North America Corporate Headquarters in Beachwood, OH. Hybrid work schedule available.
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager of Direct Materials, the Lead Financial Analyst- Direct Materials is primarily responsible for driving efficiency and value to the organization through standardizing, analyzing, and reporting on key metrics to the function, including market economics, payment terms, and commodities hedging. This role will partner closely with the global organization and will work heavily in a cross-functional environment..
In this function you will:
- Drive efficiencies in reporting and provide analytical insights into economic drivers and impact to the financial statements (i.e. lead time analytics, surcharge analyses, etc.)
- Partner with the Global Procurement Office and the business teams to analyze supplier price increase requests and supplier price increase recovery to determine impact to the financial statements
- Liaise with the Treasury team in supporting the cash flow and intra-quarter (fair value) commodity hedging programs
- Drive consolidation and standardization of reporting throughout the global enterprise
- Develop payment term analysis and reporting to highlight areas of opportunity in driving working capital improvement throughout the direct materials function
- Collaborate with the cross-functional teams (i.e. Supply Chain Center of Excellence) to build analytical models to drive insights for the global enterprise (i.e. economics implications or cost out opportunities)
- Partner with global category teams to outline addressable spend and identify areas of opportunity
- Support in the efforts to onboard business/regional surcharge invoices to centralized processing and validation through the Global Supply Chain Center of Excellence
- Manage ad hoc analyses in support of the global direct material procurement function.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 5 years experience in Accounting/Finance related role.
- No relocation is being offered for this position candidates must be located within a 50 mile radius of Beachwood, OH to be considered.
- Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
Skills:
- Experience with data analytics and analyzing complex datasets
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel and PowerPoint
- Detail-oriented, analytical and accurate
- Comfort and familiarity with a fast-paced, dynamic, and ambiguous work environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent analytical skills to interpret and relate financial data into key insights, drivers and commentary
- Ability to manage time and responsibilities effectively.
