What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supply Chain Manager position at Eaton?
Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Supply Chain Manager. The position will be based at our facility in Hodges, SC. We are offering relocation assistance for the role.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $108749.97 - $159499.96 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you’ll do:
- Coordinate, lead and facilitate site materials management and procurement activities
- Direct management and supervision of plant purchasing, materials, logistics and warehouse personnel; leverages the EBS and OpA models for functional oversight best-practices and for the grounding of KPIs to drive improved accountability and execution to aligned strategies
- Under guidance and support from the ES-A regional logistics and GTM / compliance organization, provide effective leadership and management of local GTM and compliance contexts
- Provides functional leadership and guidance to plant materials and purchasing personnel in areas of sales forecasting, capacity planning, production planning/scheduling, inventory management, and customer service
- Draft and deploy necessary standard work, work instructions and other documentation critical to training and knowledge transfer, protect process integrity over time and sustain long-term process effectiveness
- Defines IT and support tool needs to provide supply chain personnel with information to drive materials management practices/processes
- Champions the plant SIOP process; personally, leads and facilitates all elements of the 5-step process locally to properly integrate plant needs and strategies into overall CPA division level SIOP plan
- Together with division leadership, define and provide plant procurement and materials strategy
- Ensures that the ongoing approaches used across the supply chain function are consistent with divisional practices and synergized to ongoing business and materials management goals and objectives
- Champions ongoing continuous improvement initiatives designed to consistently move the team “to the next level” and which are in support of broader Eaton and ES-A supply chain strategies and practices
- Defines and deploys initiatives to improve the skill sets of local SCM professionals; craft organization structure and people positioning to enable long-term succession planning
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum 5 years of Supply Chain Management experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience leading supply chain teams or as a manager of people
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
- APICS CPIM certification
- Experience with Visa, Mapics and SAP
- Experience with ETO manufacturing / plant experience
Skills:
- Fluency and ability to effectively communicate in Spanish
- Knowledge and experience in CI- / Lean-oriented approaches and structured problem solving for results
- Prior exposure to Lean / Continuous Improvement with demonstrated results
- Intermediate-to-advanced skills in various analysis tools, such as MS Excel
- Demonstration of appropriate “soft skills:” effective communication, interpersonal relationship and conflict management skills, with the ability to navigate the organization effectively for results
- Highly advanced analytical and cognitive skills
- Working knowledge of supply chain and materials management best practices and tactics
- Strong analytical skills; ability to mine data to draw meaningful conclusions and guidance for decision-making
- Collaborative, team-oriented attitude geared towards supporting Eaton’s “The Power of One” culture
- Communication and presentation skills – both verbal and written with the ability to make necessary status updates and report-outs to division management
