**GENERAL POSITIONS**
Position: Adult Sport Facility Attendant (Adult Leagues)

Description: The adult sport facility attendant is responsible for assisting onsite evening supervision of adult athletic programs. The programs include Ultimate Frisbee, Soccer, Slowpitch Softball, and Fastpitch Softball teams. The facility attendant will be responsible for assisting the Recreation Program Supervisor with coordinating games, umpires’ assignments, maintaining standings, and overseeing nightly activities of the program at various sites nightly. Access to vehicle required. Previous experience in sports organization preferred. Community relations and effective communication with adult sport population a plus. This position begins in April and ends in October. Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license.
Position: Lead Concession/Admission Facilitator
(Carson Football Stadium, Fairfax Pool, Hobbs Ice Arena)

Description: The concession/admission lead will be an onsite working leader at one of four concessions locations. Responsibilities include leading the daily operation of concessions sites, scheduling staff and supervising workers, balancing daily cash receipts, ordering products, and inventory of supplies. Applicant should be a mature, responsible adult with organizational skills. Leadership and/or cash handling experience preferred.

Description: Ability to lead a flag football training camp program for 7-11-year-olds. Football coaching experience preferred but not required. Instructor will review and plan the curriculum, assign duties to assisting staff, and teach skills. The job will start late July with planning followed by leading two Youth Camps. The first camp runs the last week in July and the second camp runs the first week in August. Training camp is held in the evening at the Carson Park Football Stadium. This job will be a total of about 15 hours. Must be WI DPI licensed teacher.

Applicants assist in providing an afternoon specialized education program for school aged youth ages 6-21 with disabilities and an evening social club for adults. The daytime youth program meets Monday-Thursday afternoons, and the adult evening program meets Wednesdays. 1-2 years of experience with disabled children and/or adults; leadership experience helpful. Leaders must possess the ability to lead structured activities, including art projects, field trips, fishing excursions, and other similar events. Additionally, they should be proficient at managing conflicts and effectively calming participants when necessary. Certification in First Aid/CPR/AED is recommended.

Description:
The primary responsibility as a lifeguard is to prevent drowning and other injuries from occurring. Lifeguards must be able to ensure the safety of patrons during all Eau Claire Parks, Recreation, and Forestry Aquatic Programs. A lifeguard must be able to enforce pool policies and be able to communicate effectively why policies are in place. A lifeguard must actively guard and always scan the pool areas. A lifeguard must recognize and respond effectively in emergency situations by activating Emergency Action Plan (EAP) and following the American Red Cross Lifeguard Standards. Completion and accuracy of forms require including accident, incident and safety check forms. Lifeguard applicants are required to have the current American Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED certification by start date

Description: Swim Instructors provide safe, innovative, and enjoyable swimming lessons following the Red Cross guidelines for the Parent Child, Preschool Aquatics, and Learn to Swim programs. Swim Instructors will teach swimming lessons in a group class setting and one-on-one. Swim Instructors must evaluate participants’ swimming abilities in accordance with the American Red Cross guidelines. Swim Instructors will create block plans, lesson plans, and complete all necessary documentation. Swim Instructors will ensure that all safety standards are being followed and enforce facility rules. Swim Instructors will provide good customer service and have strong communication skills with students, parents, and fellow staff.
