We are opening a new facility in Cedar Falls, Iowa and looking for a Warehouse Supervisor
About the Role:
- Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction being the primary goal, by supervising, organizing, directing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operational goals
- Train and manage a warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals
- In addition to supervising the warehouse team, this role would have day to day warehouse responsibilities and be trained in all aspects of the warehouse for coverage purposes
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments while maintaining inventory organization following the established FIFO process
- Develop expert knowledge of warehouse processes and all associated equipment
- Reinforce a sense of urgency during periods of downtime; effectively communicate issues to the management team
- Communicate and work closely with other departments within Ebco’s operation
- Receive and process incoming inventory and materials
- Manage, organize, and retrieve inventory
- Outbound shipping and logistics
- Operating stock management tools, for example forklift operation
- Utilize Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains and BarTender for tracking inventory.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of prior experience in Warehouse. Warehouse management preferred. Strong ability to work with groups of people with varying levels of education, expertise, and backgrounds
- Ability to achieve results by encouraging and motivating others
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be self-motivated and a self-starter.
- Detail-oriented and able to track multiple facets of the warehouse at any given time
- Outstanding interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills and multitasking abilities
- Effective problem solving skills
- Forklift certification preferred but not required
