What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN Educator/Infection Control position at Ebenezer?
The Staff Education/Infection Prevention Nurse is an expert at delivering variety of training and education to ensure staff compliance and development. Ability and knowledge that assists staff to work at their highest level of licensure with confident to provide quality, safety and proper techniques to residents served. Expert knowledge of Infection prevention information that is shared, audited and sustained at the Ebenezer facilities. Data collection that is continuously applied to improving best practice and quality care delivered to residents.
- This is a full time Nursing position includes 80 hours in two weeks

- Consults within and among departments as needed and within confines of position
- Coordinates training rograms for the facility
- Supports cross continuum of quality efforts through organizational development
- Maintain pertinent datat around staff immunization tracking
- Safety Committee
- Manage Infection control in facility
- Demonstrates commitment to employee engagement
- Participate in on call rotation per facility policy
- RN Licensure/Registered with the MN Board of Nursing Required
- BSN Degree preferred
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Provider from American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross; accepted certifications as follows -AHA: BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR & AED) Program or BLS Provider - BLS Instructor. American Red Cross: CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and/or Healthcare Providers, Life Guarding First Aid/CPR/AED
- ANACC Certification in Gerontology
- 3-5 years experience; Required
