Summary:
Our Service Manager position is one of the most critical leadership roles in our company. The skills needed for this bring the gifts of team leadership, customer service, technical service, and time management into one. The responsibilities involve overseeing the Service Writers as they lead out in frontline customer service, and the Service Technicians with scheduling, estimating, and technical direction. The Service Manager cares deeply about people, and through servant leadership provides an environment of superior customer service while achieving financial goals in a fast-paced environment. Our Service Manager has strengths in organizational, administrative, managerial, and people skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are highly important, as are the traits of integrity, honesty, and fairness.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership of Service Technicians with managing and scheduling repair jobs for Service Technicians
- Prepare and contact customers with repair estimates
- Maintain an organized and safe working environment
- Track Service Department productivity and profitability
- Oversee Service Administrators in billing and repair details
- Oversee Service Writers in all aspects of customer service in Service Department
- Oversee HR functions of scheduling, assessments, and feedback for Service Department
- Oversee management of loaner fleet
- Produce company and individual financial reports
- Take lead role in backing up the Sales Department with a dedicated Service Team
- Lead out in resolving customer service issues to surpass expectations
- Take ownership of instilling a positive sense of teamwork in the entire Service Department
- Meet frequently with Store Manager & President to communicate goals, trends, and outcomes
- Other responsibilities as assigned
