Job Title: IT Technician Summer Intern
Summary: The IT Technician Intern will assist the IT team in providing technical support, maintaining systems, and ensuring smooth operation of hardware, software, and network infrastructure. This entry-level role is designed to offer hands-on experience in troubleshooting, system maintenance, and customer service within an IT environment, while supporting the intern’s growth in technical skills and professional development.
Essential Functions of the Job: The essential functions of this job require the person, with or without reasonable accommodations, to perform the following:
- Technical Support: Assist in resolving basic hardware and software issues for end-users, including troubleshooting desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
- Hardware Setup: Assist in setting up and deploying workstations, including cabling, peripheral connections, and equipment inventory.
- Documentation: Update IT inventory or documentation as needed.
- User Assistance: Provide basic training or guidance to employees on software tools or systems when requested.
- Team Collaboration: Work alongside IT staff on projects such as system upgrades.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Recommended Education and/or Experience
- Currently pursuing a degree/certificate in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
