Description:
We are seeking a temporary, part-time Accounts Payable (AP) Clerk to assist with basic AP data entry for a 6-week period, with the possibility of extension. This position requires working Tuesday through Thursday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage AP tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform data entry of invoices and payment requests into the accounting system
- Verify and match invoices to purchase orders and receipts
- Assist in maintaining accurate records of all AP transactions
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of payments
- Respond to inquiries from vendors regarding payment status
- Assist with month-end closing activities as needed
- Other clerical duties as assigned
- Prior experience in accounts payable or basic bookkeeping preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
