Your Opportunity
The Content Development Editor reviews and develops content submitted by internal and external writers for nursing and health professions point-of-care and reference products. The editor ensures content meets EBSCO Clinical Decision's quality standards. Qualified candidates must have previous experience as an editor; a clinical background is not required.
This remote position is US-based only (excluding US territories).
What You'll Do
- Developmentally edit clinical content for point-of-care nursing and health professions content, requiring critical analysis, problem-solving, and independent judgment.
- Ensure readability, clarity, flow, and consistency of content.
- Apply best practices for editing online content.
- Ensure content adheres to templates and style guides (house and AMA).
- Identify and promote more efficient methods and workflows for specific editorial efforts.
- Communicate and collaborate professionally with clinical writers / editors, product managers, and UI / UX teams as needed.
- Provide content writer / editor ongoing education and support related to editorial policies, procedures, and style guides.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, documentation, and updating of editorial policies and procedures (including template structures and writing guidelines) that foster readability and consistency across content areas.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
