What you’ll do: 

As a Content Editor at Guidesly, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and executing our content strategy to ensure we meet our business goals. You will work closely with the marketplace and advertising teams, lead a remote team in the Philippines, and ensure all content is high-quality, relevant, and optimized for search. Additionally, you will oversee the seasonal timing of articles, manage keyword strategies, and contribute to customer email campaigns, blogs, and social media efforts. Your role will require a proactive approach to leadership, research, and trend monitoring to keep our content aligned with industry shifts and audience needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monthly Strategy Review: Conduct a comprehensive review of content strategies at the start of each month, aligning them with business goals, seasonal trends, and KPIs.
  • Marketplace and Ads Support: Collaborate with the marketplace and ads teams to ensure content is optimized for advertising and marketplace needs.
  • KPI Management: Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to set key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports on content performance and improvements.
  • Content Oversight & Quality Control: Lead and manage the content team in the Philippines to ensure all output meets quality standards before publication. This includes ensuring that all articles and content are optimized for SEO and relevant to the target audience.
  • Keyword Research & Trend Analysis: Research and monitor key industry keywords and trends. Lead content strategy to reflect seasonality, shifts in demand, and competitive analysis, ensuring that content is always aligned with the latest market trends.
  • Team Leadership: Manage a remote team of content creators, ensuring high standards of work and timely delivery. Foster a positive and productive team environment while ensuring accountability.
  • Seasonality & Timing: Oversee the planning and execution of content aligned with seasonal shifts, ensuring articles, guides, and posts are published at the most impactful times to capture audience interest.
  • Content Metrics & Evaluation: Use keyword tools and analytics to evaluate the success of content, identify areas of improvement, and ensure that all content contributes to the overall success of the business.
  • Customer Email Campaigns: Collaborate with the email marketing team to create engaging and effective email campaigns for Guidesly’s customers, leveraging content to drive engagement and conversions.
  • Blog Posts & Articles: Oversee the creation of blog posts, articles, and other written materials, ensuring they provide valuable guides, insights, and information for our customers and the marketplace.
  • Social Media Management: Oversee the creation and management of social media content, ensuring consistency with the brand voice, engagement with followers, and alignment with marketing campaigns.
  • Product Support: Be prepared to collaborate with the product team when necessary to ensure that content aligns with product offerings, features, and changes.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience managing a content team, ideally for a remote, global workforce.
  • Strong understanding of SEO, keyword research, and trend analysis tools.
  • Expertise in using keyword tools and analyzing content success metrics.
  • Experience leading content creation for blogs, customer emails, social media, and other digital platforms.
  • Solid understanding of seasonal content strategies and industry trends.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across time zones and teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
  • Knowledge of the outdoor adventure or marketplace industry is a plus.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities.

Salary: $50-60k based on experience
