What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Materials Expeditor position at EC Source?
Responsibilities
- Coordinate material movements and deliveries to ensure timely arrival at construction sites.
- Collaborate with union crews to receive and document materials, including verifying load matches against Bills of Lading and capturing images.
- Identify and manage Overages, Shortages, or Damaged Items (OSDs) and communicate with vendors to resolve issues.
- Organize material storage in designated sections of the laydown yard, utilizing GPS coordinates for efficiency.
- Develop and implement barcode systems for selected items, adhering to established formats.
- Support substation foremen/crews in creating and managing kitted items.
- Conduct regular inventory control checks, recording results in the IMS system.
- Facilitate request and issue tickets for owner-supplied and significant contractor-supplied materials.
- Manage the IMS system by tracking Purchase Orders and updates for owner-provided and contractor-supplied materials.
