JOB TITLE/LOCATION:
Expeditor – Carson City, NV
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
- Contact vendors/suppliers for status updates. Relaying information to operations and production control
- Following traveler/router instructions; move parts between departments using carts, forklifts and/or electric pallet jack.
- Receive material (components and finished goods), verifying count by hand or scale, check and identify parts to ensure part number and lot numbers match travelers.
- Prepare parts for storage and/or next operation following all material handling requirements
- Perform daily inventory cycle counts
- Identifying shortages or delays to scheduled completion date in raw, purchased and manufactured products
- Working closely with manufacturing to ensure shop flow control is maintained during machining operations.
- Making splits and monitoring scrap, rework and MRB activity.

EDUCATION:
High School Diplomat or General Education Degree (GED)
EXPERIENCE:
1-2 years related experience
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Analytical Skills: ability to work with multiple vendors
- A positive attitude, excellent communication skills, strong multitasking ability, and an interest in learning new skills/technologies required.
- MUST be well organized, works well with others and flexible
- Decision-Making Skills: ability to use the information you have gathered to make decisions on behalf of your company.
- Must have knowledge of Internet Software, Inventory software, Order processing systems, Spreadsheet Software and word Processing Software. ASI/AS 400 experience a plus.
