We are seeking to hire a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) with Federal program experience to join our team working on a new 5 year project award in Washington, DC.
This role is 60% remote, with 2 days onsite per week, in either the office location in Washington DC or Herndon VA.
This position pays a strong salary package with full benefits (including choice of healthcare plans, dental, vision, life insurance, 3 weeks PTO, 11 Paid Federal Holidays, and a matching 401k).
An option for working on an hourly rate is also available for those not needing a full benefits package.
Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and Certified Client-Facing Scrum Master & Project Manager to lead and manage software project deliveries in a client-facing role. This position requires a strong background in Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, as well as experience in client management. The ideal candidate will be able to effectively facilitate Agile processes, manage client relationships, and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions on time and within scope.
- Must have a CSM (Certified Scrum Master certification) and at least 5 years Client delivery experience, managing multiple stakeholders with competing priorities
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives for development teams.
- Must have Enterprise delivery experience managing more than one project at a time.
- Ensure that the Scrum team adheres to Agile principles and practices, helping them stay focused and aligned with project goals.
- Serve as a coach and mentor to the team, fostering collaboration, continuous improvement, and self-organization.
- Identify and remove impediments that hinder the team s ability to deliver value, escalating issues as necessary.
- Foster a culture of transparency and communication across the team, providing visibility into the project s progress to all stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with product owners and other key team members to define project requirements, prioritize features, and refine backlog items.
- Run status meetings and create agile based metrics such as burn-down charts, and velocity tracking.
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of software projects while maintaining a clear focus on client expectations, scope, and timelines.
- Manage relationships with clients, ensuring that their needs are understood, prioritized, and met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation, ensuring that deliverables are completed on time and within scope and budget.
- Experience with application lifecycle management tools
- Ability to clearly document and outline business processes. Ability to develop PowerPoint presentations to convey critical concepts to clients.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with development teams on modern technology stacks and SaaS solutions. 5 years
- Experience with implementing shared services for federal agencies, implementing HR systems like PeopleSoft, SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, or other federal ERP systems, 3 years
- Knowledge of software delivery lifecycle and integrating Agile methodologies into traditional project management structures. 5 years
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
Primary Job Duties:
- Lead a scrum team(s) for software delivery project(s) (30%)
- Drive requirements, and design sessions for the project(s) (20%)
- Develop strong client relationships via communication, transparency, and efficiency (20%)
- Project status reporting and dashboarding on a weekly basis (10%)
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation, ensuring that deliverables are completed on time and within scope. (20%)
