Position Overview
We are looking for a visionary and entrepreneurial Chief Technology Officer (CTO) who will report directly to the CEO and drive the development and execution of eCard Systems' technology roadmap. This new role will oversee all company technology aspects, including platform development, security, and infrastructure. The CTO will collaborate closely with other executives to align technology initiatives with business objectives and ensure that eCard Systems remains at the forefront of the digital and physical gift card industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Technology Strategy: Develop and execute a long-term technology roadmap that aligns with business goals, focusing on innovation, scalability, and security.
- Innovation and Development: Lead the development of new digital and physical products, ensuring that the company stays ahead of industry trends.
- System Architecture: Oversee the management and optimization of eCard Systems' IT infrastructure to ensure efficient, secure, and scalable operations.
- Team Leadership: Build, manage, and mentor a high-performing development and engineering team.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate technological risks, including data security, scalability issues, and system failures.
- Budget Oversight: Manage the technology budget, ensuring cost-effective investments in technology tools, platforms, and vendor relationships.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the CEO and other leadership team members to align technology efforts with overall company strategy.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with technology vendors and third-party service providers to ensure effective service delivery and strategic partnerships.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CTO, VP of Engineering, or in a similar senior technology leadership role.
- Strong background in developing and managing technology infrastructures, especially in platform-based services and payment processing systems.
- Experience with gift card systems, fintech, or e-commerce platforms is highly preferred.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to innovate and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- In-depth understanding of cloud computing, cybersecurity, software development, and data protection protocols.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
