What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant position at ECC?
The Staff Accountant position is responsible for applying accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare financial reports, and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures, including account reconciliations. Hybrid work option available.
Principal Accountabilities
- Update daily cash receipts
- Create daily cash reports
- Prepare month end account reconciliations as assigned
- Prepare monthly journal entries related to any accounts that are reconciled/analyzed
- Reconcile bank statements and petty cash on a monthly basis
- Coordinate with AP, AR, and Payroll on various accounting issues as needed and support related reconciliations
- Communicate with teams in Italy and Germany about bank account reconciliation outstanding items in a timely manner
- Communicate with GA org owners on budget versus actual spend variances
- Assist Accounting Manager in other duties, as assigned
Proficiency Requirements
This position requires the following:
- Proven ability to implement programs to address complex needs and problems
- Competent in using Microsoft Office products, email systems, and Windows
- Three years of working experience with Excel spreadsheets
- Two to five years of accounting experience
- Education: This position requires a bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
Preferred Proficiency Requirements
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
ECC targeted salary range for US locations average is $65,000 to $70,000 annually. Actual salary offered may be affected by education, training, certifications, experience, skills, level of responsibility, and location.
