Job Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and nurturing Summer Preschool Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will create a fun, engaging, and educational summer experience for preschool-aged children. This role involves implementing age-appropriate activities, ensuring a safe and supportive environment, and fostering social, emotional, and cognitive development in young learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement a creative and interactive summer curriculum that aligns with early childhood development principles.
- Develop age-appropriate activities that incorporate art, music, storytelling, outdoor play, and hands-on learning.
- Supervise and engage children in daily activities, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
- Monitor and support children’s social and emotional growth, encouraging positive interactions and problem-solving skills.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines, including proper sanitation and emergency procedures.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to create a cohesive and enriching summer program.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 12 credit hours or coursework in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Child Development, or a related field.
- Previous Montessori experience or certification (preferred).
- Strong communication, patience, and organizational skills.
- Ability to create a warm, fun, and engaging classroom atmosphere.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Background check and fingerprint clearance.
