We are currently hiring a consultant or senior consultant to join our Healthcare Consulting Pool with previous work experience supporting payer strategy contracting and reimbursement engagements. Experience includes:
Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Minneapolis, San Diego, Seattle, St. Louis, Washington DC
Candidates will be required to work a hybrid schedule with a minimum of two days in office when not traveling for a client engagement.

The estimated base salary range for this job is $110,000 - $142,000 annually. It represents a good faith estimate of the range that ECG reasonably expects to pay at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to years of experience, special skills, and market changes. This job is eligible to participate in ECG’s annual incentive compensation program, which reflects ECG’s pay-for-performance philosophy. The job is also eligible to participate in ECG’s benefit plans, which include medical, dental, and vision coverage; a 401(k) matching program; unlimited PTO; and other wellness programs.

We are currently hiring a consultant or senior consultant to join our Healthcare Consulting Pool with previous work experience supporting payer strategy contracting and reimbursement engagements. Experience includes:
- Analyzing and modeling payer and provider contracts to support negotiations.
- Developing and evolving existing capabilities to create contract templates using SQL.
- Rearching and understanding Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payment methodologies and industry developments; progressing in knowledge of healthcare payment methodologies and contract modeling.
- Analyzing and synthesizing data to inform client recommendations
- Using financial modeling to conduct in-depth analyses and recommend executable strategies
- Conducting stakeholder interviews
- Leading information-gathering efforts
- Assisting in developing and managing work plans, schedules, and budgets
- Drafting project analyses and deliverables
- Communicating project progress and seeking input
- Developing depth of technical expertise
- Identifying follow-on opportunities and helping scope and close such engagements
- Assisting in the design and implementation of recommended solutions
- Working closely with multiple project teams and ECG senior consulting leaders
- Taking responsibility for project outcomes
- Communicating effectively with management and executive-level client staff
- Learning about ECG’s breadth of solutions and identifying those that reflect personal and professional interests
- Participating in peer and junior staff knowledge development and career advancement
- Demonstrating the ability to excel at consulting while balancing work and personal life
- Acting as an ECG ambassador within personal, professional, and alumni networks
- Strong knowledge of and passion for the healthcare industry
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, economics, statistics, or a healthcare-related field with a focus on critical thinking, problem-solving, and logic
- Master’s degree in business administration and/or in a health-related field preferred
- Prior work experience in healthcare consulting and/or managed care contracting and reimbursement strategies (1 years of applicable experience for consultant level; 3 years of progressive experience in healthcare consulting and/or managed care contracting for senior consultant level)
- Demonstrated knowledge of advanced contract modeling and hospital reimbursement
- Knowledge of healthcare provider and facility reimbursement methodologies
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modeling skills
- Advanced knowledge of advanced analytics or coding tools (e.g., Python, SQL); experience with modern visualization tools preferred (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
- Proven track record of solving complex problems and completing challenging projects
- Demonstrated diagnostic, analytical, and quantitative skills
- Track record of strong client service
- Demonstrated career progression with increasing responsibilities
- Strong written and verbal presentation skills
- Ability and willingness to travel at least 60% of the time, with flexibility to meet client needs
