Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Lawn Care Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for landscaping and a strong understanding of lawn maintenance practices. This role involves working outdoors to enhance the beauty and health of residential and commercial lawns, gardens, and landscapes. The Lawn Care Specialist will be responsible for executing various tasks that contribute to the overall upkeep and aesthetic appeal of outdoor spaces.
Duties
- Perform regular mowing of lawns to maintain a neat appearance.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for various landscaping tasks including digging, trimming, and edging.
- Conduct tree trimming and pruning to promote healthy growth and enhance visual appeal.
- Build garden beds and maintain existing landscapes by planting flowers, shrubs, and trees.
- Operate equipment for snow plowing during winter months to ensure safe access for clients.
- Maintain equipment in good working condition through regular inspections and basic mechanical repairs.
- Ensure proper care of gardens by applying fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in lawn care or landscaping is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with garden maintenance techniques including planting, watering, and pest control.
- Proficient in using hand tools (shovels, rakes) and power tools (mowers, trimmers).
- Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy loads, digging, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude.
- A valid driver's license may be required depending on job responsibilities.
