Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant OPOTA Current Armed Guard to join our security team. Those who don't have their OPOTA Cert, need not apply. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and property. This role requires a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observation skills, and the ability to respond effectively in emergency situations. The Armed Guard will utilize various security measures, including surveillance systems and conflict management techniques, to prevent loss and ensure safety.
Responsibilities
- Monitor premises through CCTV and other surveillance systems to detect suspicious activities.
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to deter criminal activity and ensure safety.
- Respond promptly to alarms or incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
- Enforce company policies and procedures regarding security measures.
- Provide first aid and CPR assistance when necessary.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during incidents or investigations.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
- Participate in ongoing training sessions related to loss prevention and conflict management.
Qualifications
- Valid OPOTA armed security guard certification as required by state regulations.
- Experience in law enforcement or military service is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of surveillance systems, including CCTV operation.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
