Crisis Worker in Emergency Services
The Crisis Worker in Emergency Services provides direct clinical services to patients experiencing behavioral health emergencies in a community hospital setting.
This role includes crisis triage, assessment, intervention, case management, and community collaboration, ensuring compliance with patient care standards.
The ideal applicant holds a Master's degree in a relevant field and has the necessary licensure and competencies to function effectively in a fast-paced emergency department environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides age-appropriate assessment and treatment to a diverse population with multiple needs.
- Crisis triage and assessment, individual and family intervention, case management, community collaboration, patient/family education, insurance verification, and treatment planning.
- Flexible coverage to another service within Behavioral Health on a short-term basis.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree and licensure in a Behavioral Health field (LCSW, APRN, or PhD).
- Certification in CPI de-escalation techniques within 6 months of hire and maintenance of active certification.
- Strong clinical skills, team orientation, verbal and written communication, computer competency, and knowledge of psychiatric and risk assessment.
- Flexibility in approach to meet service-specific and overall system needs.
