Job Summary:
The Nursing Clinical Coordinator plays a vital role in overseeing nursing personnel and ensuring high-quality patient care within a community hospital. This position requires effective leadership, collaboration with healthcare professionals, and the ability to mentor and support nursing staff.
We are seeking an experienced clinical nurse leader who can assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for a group of patients, guide and supervise assigned nursing personnel, collaborate with healthcare professionals, coordinate ancillary staff, and demonstrate professional growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Nurse Manager in operational activities of the patient care unit
- Plan and operationalize the model of nursing care to be utilized on the unit
- Coordinate patient assignment and clinical care activities of the team
- Participate in staffing and scheduling function to ensure adequate nursing resources
- Facilitate efficient patient flow through daily collaboration with MDs, clinical team, and Patient Flow Facilitator
Requirements:
- Masters preferred; BSN or actively matriculating for a BSN required
- Current RN licensure in State of Connecticut
- Three to five years of acute care experience required; Emergency Department experience highly preferred
