About the Role
This position reports to the Adult Ambulatory Coordinator and/or to the Director of the Service and the Medical Director. As a mental health professional, you will provide direct and indirect clinical services to adults in need of mental health care, ensuring treatment that is age-appropriate and effective.
Key Responsibilities
- Crisis assessment and intake assessments
- Individual therapy, group therapy, and family therapy
- Treatment planning and case management
- Team/community collaboration and patient/family education
- Triage and discharge planning
Educational Requirements
A Masters degree and Connecticut licensure as a licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
- Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) training and experience
- Familiarity with abuse and neglect reporting and duty-to-warn mandates
- Knowledge of community-based resources and pre-authorization and billing processes
Competencies
- Computer competency with Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Strong clinical skills, including team orientation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Flexibility in approach to meet service-specific and overall system needs
