Position Summary:

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair operations of ECHO Housing & Community Development residential properties, ensuring high-quality living environments for all residents. This position supervises maintenance, coordinates vendor work when appropriate, manages service requests, and plays a key role in preserving the safety and functionality of our housing portfolio. The position works closely with agency leadership to ensure the safety, security, and habitability of all properties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise day-to-day maintenance operations across all ECHO Housing properties.
  • Schedule, prioritize, and complete work orders in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Conduct routine property inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure code compliance.
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance schedules, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and other building infrastructure.
  • Respond to and resolve emergency maintenance issues during and outside of regular business hours (on a rotating schedule).
  • Oversee and assist with unit turnovers, ensuring readiness for new residents, including cleaning and repairs.
  • Manage inventory and procurement of maintenance supplies and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, parts used, and vendor service calls.
  • Electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry and painting
  • Repairing and treating structures such as showers, sinks, appliances, doors/cabinets, walls and building exteriors
  • Have a working knowledge of HVAC systems and be able to maintain
  • Responsible for after hours emergency maintenance as scheduled
  • Schedule and complete preventative maintenance program
  • Complete grounds work such as: grounds pick up, sweeping and light landscaping
  • Coordinate special projects as directed
  • Train and support maintenance team members in safety protocols, repair techniques, and customer service.
  • Ensure compliance with fair housing regulations, building codes, and organizational policies.

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of general building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry).
  • Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team while also working independently.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Clear and professional communication skills with both staff and residents.
  • Ability to operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Comfortable using maintenance documentation systems or mobile work order apps.
  • Commitment to respectful, inclusive service to all residents, including those experiencing housing insecurity or disabilities.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in maintenance or facilities operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
  • Ability to lift up 50 lbs and perform physical work in various weather conditions.
  • Must be available for after-hours emergency response duties on a rotating schedule.
  • Successful completion of criminal background check and drug screening required prior to employment.

Schedule & Compensation:

  • Full-time position: 37.5 hours per week
  • Regular business hours with after-hours emergency maintenance response on a rotating basis
  • Hourly wage: $30.76/hour
  • Eligible for benefits including health reimbursement, paid time off, dental & vision coverage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.76 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 – 40 per week
