ECHO Incorporated is looking for a skilled machine operator to join our growing team. This role provides flexible support during the shift, assisting various departments and performing various tasks such as packaging, and machine operation.
1st Shift Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm Hourly wage $15.00
2nd Shift Monday-Friday 2:00pm-10:30pm Hourly wage $15.00 shift differential $.50
3rd Shift Monday-Friday 10:00pm-6:30am shift differential $1.00

Duties/Responsibilities:

Operate and manage the twister machine, ensuring smooth, consistent operation. Troubleshoot and address minor machine issues promptly to maintain workflow efficiency.

Accurately measure and test the twist line to meet quality specifications, documenting results and reporting discrepancies to the shift lead.

Provide support to the extrusion department as needed, which may include preparing materials, cutting, changing spools and ensuring the smooth operation of the production line.

Safely transport full skid loads of product to the hot room using a pallet jack.

Package trimmer line spools carefully, ensuring proper labeling

Regularly inspect and replace the trimmer line spool, unwinding any remaining line and disposing of it in the designated scrap barrel according to company waste disposal guidelines.

Continuously monitor the donut winding machine, taking immediate corrective action if any malfunctions, irregularities, or production quality issues arise

Maintain accurate records by logging spool weights daily and submitting completed records to the lead at the end of each shift for review.

Keep the work area clean and organized, performing daily cleaning tasks on machines and equipment, especially during shift changeovers, to ensure optimal operation and safety.

Maintain high awareness and vigilance when machines are operating, following all safety protocols and company guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your coworkers.

Communicate with the lead throughout the shift, reporting any malfunctions, safety hazards, or production delays to minimize disruptions.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Capable of maneuvering and lifting 50 lbs. frequently
- Standing and walking for long periods of time
- Ability to often stoop, kneel or crouch.
- Experience working in a fast-paced distribution environment.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and effectively as a team member, assisting shift lead and other employees in a positive and proactive manner.
- Committed to accuracy and following instructions.
