ECHO is looking for a Purchasing Manager to oversee our buying department! The salary range for this position is $95,000 - $125,000 based on experience and qualifications.
This is a hybrid position that will offer the flexibility of working from home and on-site at our Lake Zurich facility.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor and develop the purchasing team, fostering higher skill levels and capabilities.
- Oversee and manage over $150M in both direct and indirect spend for Echo.
- Implement innovative solutions to enhance the procurement process in a fast-paced environment.
- Continuously improve Days on Hand (DOH) for purchased finished goods and components, while enhancing availability (fill rate and minimizing production shortages).
- Review and process purchase orders.
- Build and maintain vendor relationships.
- Negotiate pricing and establishing contracts.
Experience/Skills:
- 2 years of experience managing over $100M in direct and indirect spend, with suppliers based in North America and Asia.
- 2 years of experience purchasing both internal manufacturing components and finished goods for sale.
- Proven ability to coach and mentor team members, enhancing their professional growth.
- Strong technical knowledge of best procurement practices.
- Skilled in managing supplier relationships, ensuring quality, on-time delivery (OTD), and cost targets are achieved.
- Experience using MRP systems.
- Intermediate proficiency in Excel.
- Capable of building and presenting business cases.
- Strong collaboration skills with internal teams.
- Problem-solving expertise, with the ability to identify issues, work independently or with a team to frame and diagnose root causes, and implement effective solutions.
Education: BS Degree or relevant work experience.
